How did you get the combines health changed?
clOWN86
I'm shure if I wasn't a total slacker I could find out how in hammer but really how did you get the combines health higher (and I think you made them have the perfect ammount).Grin

Baltic Forever
Actually we didn't make any changes to the combine's health. It changes automatically when you switch between the difficulty levels.

There is a way to increase or reduce the amount of health of any npc in the game. But I may not have time to explain it tonight (just a bit busy on my other website right now).
I could make you a test map which will show you how to change the NPC's health if you wanted me to. But that may have to wait until tomorrow .

pretty much place an NPC,
name it
then make a trigger
and set an output to "sethealth" -- "npc name" -- "Value of health you want"

Thats just the quick explanation Wink

Then why is it harder to kill a combine in C to A on hard then in the origonal hl2?

SPY
i think this is because it looks that way.
people think we made C to A extra hard, but in fact it is the other way around. silly enough i had the setting on difficultie on easy when i started mapping on C to A. and because i did find it all much to easy i started to make it extra hard by adding more enemies (npc's). lateron people complained that it was so hard to kill them all. and i was still playing on Easy, then i noticed my mistake and changed the setting to Nromal and noticed the change. but then i already had made severel maps, that's why we suggested it would be a good thing to not play it on Hard.

that's the whole story behind it,

You can also change health in your console.
If you open the console you can typ this.

sk_combine_s_health 4000 or maybe more.

And if you spawn a combine_s

npc_create npc_combine_s

Then if its correct the combine have more health then normal.
From now on.... Well, You wont remember...
